Wisconsin Right to Life is against Planned Parenthood’s idea of the Wisconsin Supreme Court finding a “right to abortion” in the state constitution.

Published on

Today, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin announced its intention to file a petition with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, requesting that the Court recognize a right to bodily autonomy, including a right to abortion.

In response, Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life, stated, “It was only a matter of time before Planned Parenthood sought to have this issue brought before the Supreme Court, with the intention of disregarding the lives of our preborn children for the sake of their financial interests.”

Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, thousands of lives have been saved in Wisconsin and across the United States, thanks to pro-life laws and protections. Wisconsin Right to Life maintains the legitimacy of State Statute 940.04, a law that saves lives and should be enforced.

Gracie Skogman, Legislative and PAC Director of Wisconsin Right to Life, said, “A preborn child is a unique individual human life, deserving of protection and the right to life.” She added that while Planned Parenthood wants unrestricted abortion until the moment of birth, the pro-life movement wants to provide support and services for mothers and their preborn children.
