ATLANTA – U.S. Representative Doug Collins was awarded the Georgia Life Alliance (GLA) Federal Legislator of the Year Award at the “Life at the Party Gala” held on Saturday, September 10 at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
Rep. Collins, first elected in 2013, is a prominent champion for life in the United States Congress. Additionally, Rep. Collins has a 100% pro-life voting record with every pro-life organization in Washington, D.C.
“We’re grateful for Rep. Collins and his strong stance on Life”, said Georgia Life Alliance Executive Director Emily Matson. “His partnership in the national pro-life strategy of defunding Planned Parenthood through the Reconciliation bill, H.R. 3762, proved again his commitment to working together to save the unborn. We look forward to our continued partnership with Rep. Collins as we work towards growing a culture of Life in Georgia.”
The Georgia Life Alliance held its first annual Life at the Party Gala to recognize the partnership and work of legislators, pregnancy centers and others. The evening celebrated the successes of GLA and thanked those who have added their voice of support to the organization now holding the state affiliate for National Right to Life. Nearly 300 guests attended the reception and dinner honoring many state and federal legislators, as well as to hear keynote speaker Alex Kendrick of Sherwood Films.
