(Suffolks News) – A seven-year-old boy who suffered a rare brain injury has demonstrated remarkable progress in his rehabilitation journey. Hubert Baber, a pupil at South Lee Preparatory School in the vicinity of Bury St Edmunds, fell ill suddenly overnight in October 2022.
Subsequently, the parents of the child, Sarah and Barney, were informed that he had an AVM (arteriovenous malformation), which is a tangle of blood vessels in the brain.
Sarah indicated that Hubert, who was six years of age at the time, would have been born with this condition, although it was not diagnosed until after his birth. She noted that it was described as a “ticking time bomb.”
