Of the communications I have received, those from parents of infants with Down syndrome have been particularly moving. The emails consistently expressed gratitude and relief that their story was being told and how the project had given them a sense of hope and even a renewed sense of gratitude for the gift of raising their son or daughter with Down syndrome.
Additionally, John Paul and Sarah have received messages from individuals who have experienced the loss of a child, sibling, or other family member with Down syndrome. The music video evoked a multitude of nostalgic recollections and a complex emotional response, encompassing both joy and sorrow, for those who have lost a loved one with Down syndrome. John Paul has stated that he has been profoundly moved by the number of messages he has received from individuals sharing their experiences of caring for a family member with special needs.

It would be beneficial for the global community to recognize that the dignity of Sam and that of every individual on Earth does not depend on one’s abilities, status, wealth, or IQ. Rather, it is derived from the fundamental truth that all lives are sacred and that our dignity originates from a higher power. John Paul asserted that Sam serves as a poignant reminder of God’s benevolence towards His people.
