My wife and I will be absent from our usual duties this week. I will be posting five or six previously published articles each day, in addition to one or two new articles.
I will be back in a week.
I will not quote the tweet in question, but the gist of the message is that the woman affectionately kisses her infant on the head, engages in playful interactions with him, and sings songs while awaiting the onset of her chemical abortion. The concluding line of the tweet reads, “Abortion is parenthood, babes.”
In a previous tweet, she celebrates the sense of community—the “love and care and joy”—for an “abortion patient” whose friends “set up a MealTrain for them.” She encourages us to “bake pies and order takeout for your friends when they have abortions!”
The dichotomy of death and life is a complex and multifaceted concept. Is it moral equivalency? It’s actually “better” than that. It’s a shout-out to knowing what’s “right” for you.
The fact that the procedure is fatal for the child can be conveniently overlooked. This can be achieved by simply holding the infant who survived the procedure.
This is a rather disheartening situation.
