Organization Thanks PRCs for Supporting Local Women in Making a Choice for Life
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Right to Life of Michigan (RLM) has distributed grants totalling $10,000 to eight pregnancy resource centres in Detroit as part of the organisation’s Sixth Annual Pregnancy Resource Center Fall Grant Tour. The grants may be used for a variety of resources, including upgraded medical equipment, exterior centre repairs, up-to-date educational materials, emergency housing assistance, transportation, financial support, and maternity and baby supplies, among others.
The centres that we visited and received a grant this year are located in Detroit, Madison Heights, Eastpoint and Southfield. They serve women, children and families from all of metropolitan Detroit and beyond. One centre is even on wheels, allowing the staff, materials and equipment to be made available wherever they are needed. Please refer to the attached images for a visual representation of the grant distributions.
The unwavering compassion and dedication of the leadership and staff at these pregnancy resource centres consistently serve as a source of inspiration. They are relentless in their endeavours to meet the needs of and provide genuine support to women who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. “We at Right to Life of Michigan are grateful for the opportunity to offer some support to their incredible work in the local community,” stated Barbara Listing, President of Right to Life of Michigan.
RLM President Listing and staff in the metropolitan Detroit area delivered the grants to each recipient in person. The state of Michigan is home to more than one hundred pregnancy resource centres for women and families.
