It’s quite a leap to flat-out celebrate—“love”—a “procedure” that uses forceps with sharp metal jaws to grasp parts of the developing baby

It is likely that many of our readers are already familiar with the name Whole Woman’s Health. This was the litigant in the 2016 Supreme Court decision, Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, which overturned a Texas law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles and to meet the same standards as ambulatory surgical centers. Whole Woman’s Health is a significant and rapidly expanding organization.

So imagine my total lack of surprise when Whole Woman’s Health tweeted the following:

“Nobody ‘likes’ abortion.” Wrong. We do. We’ve provided countless abortions to patients who went on to live their best lives. Abortion is safe and it gives people control of their futures. Abortion is good. We like abortion.

Ah, talk about hitting the sweet spot. One respondent said

I like availability to necessary healthcare.

Another added

I like abortion. I like appendectomies. I like all necessary healthcare.

And, a third avoided the fallback “healthcare” excuse. She chimed in

I love abortion.

It is reasonable to posit that Whole Woman’s Health deliberately avoided stating that they “love” abortion. It is one thing to view the deliberate destruction of a helpless infant as a “necessary evil.” However, the Abortion Industry has long since abandoned this judgmental mantra.

It is another thing to “like” abortion when one has convinced oneself that it is no different than having an appendectomy. It is a significant departure from reality to celebrate—or even to “love”—a procedure that uses forceps with sharp metal jaws to grasp parts of the developing baby, which are then twisted and torn away. This abandonment of unborn children and their mothers is a stark contrast to the values espoused by the abortion industry.
