As you know, we came within one vote of passing a bill in the U.S. Senate that would defund Planned Parenthood and eliminate deadly provisions in Obamacare that encourage abortion and deny some patients treatment they need to save their lives.
To lose by just one vote was very disappointing, but also encouraging, since it’s the closest we’ve come in the Senate so far.
We are not giving up. Every single Senator needs to know we’re not done fighting! Far from it!
National Right to Life has long been known for winning victories for the unborn in Congress, and we intend to win this one! The U.S. House has passed a bill to eliminate funding of Planned Parenthood and now the Senate must too!
The reason National Right to Life has been so successful passing legislation at the state and federal level is because we rely on citizen lobbying from our members and supporters, not a bevy of expensive lobbyists, to convince elected officials to act.
When tens or hundreds of thousands of our supporters flood Congress with calls, letters, and emails, it really does get the attention of their elected representatives!
Now, more than ever, we need to generate that outpouring of calls and letters to demand that we end federal funding of Planned Parenthood and stop the subsidies that are forcing taxpayers to pay for health plans that cover abortion!
But to create that outpouring, National Right to Life needs help. We need to communicate now with literally hundreds of thousands of Americans. A grassroots campaign like this doesn’t just start by itself. It will take all the phone calls, mailings, email alerts, and other forms of communication we can do to succeed!
Can you help us achieve that? Winning this fight would be a tremendous victory and would do more to immediately save innocent human lives than anything else we could do right now!
