Charlie Gard, NRL Academy lead stories in August digital NRL News

By Dave Andrusko

I trust you’ve already dipped into the latest digital edition of the “pro-life newspaper of record.” If you haven’t, you’re in for a treat.

Our lead NRL News story is one we’ve written over 50 posts about at NRL News Today-little Charlie Gard. There are several stories about Charlie and his brave parents, Connie Yates and Chris Gard-who moved heaven and earth in an unsuccessful campaign to convince the hospital to allow them to take their nearly one-year-old child to America for experimental therapy. The page one story talks about Charlie’s last day before his ventilator was disconnected.

There are two stories about the 11th annual National Right to Life Academy. On page one, Program Director Rai Rojas gives you an in-depth look at the tough but satisfying curriculum which prepares college age students to make a difference for life.

NRLC President Carol Tobias writes about “National Right to Life -Your team at work in the Nation’s Capital and the 50 states.” When you finish her terrific column on page 3, you might wish to turn to page 4 and make a contribution to your National Right to Life Committee.

The contexts of the 42-page issue include a tremendous variety of stories. For example, a fascinating account written by NRL Education Director Dr. Randall K O’Bannon, headlined, “Abortion Advocates Wary of New Artificial Womb Technology.” And we have multiple stories about Planned Parenthood, and very encouraging tributes to pro-life women helping centers who have taken over offices that previously housed abortion clinics.

As we do each month, we’ll post another reminder of and summary about the latest monthly digital edition. Please take a few minutes each day to read the latest edition and pass stories along to your pro-life friends and relatives.

Thank you!
