Now is a time to remember the innocent who were lost, Hope for the Future of the Pro-Life Movement

Jan. 22 marks the 44th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, which legalized abortion in all 50 states, in all nine months of pregnancy, and for virtually any reason, or no reason at all. While this is a somber day and month of remembering the millions of innocent lives lost, this month is also be one of hope for the pro-life movement.
This month will bring about positive change for America. For the first time in many years we will have a pro-life president, a pro-life majority Senate and a pro-life majority Congress. This officially began yesterday with the swearing in of the 115th Congress, which includes Louisiana’s newly-elected pro-life Sen. John Kennedy and newly-elected pro-life Reps. Mike Johnson and Clay Higgins.
And as we prepare for the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, we look forward to many things to come, including a very important appointment to the U.S. Supreme Court. President-Elect Trump has promised the new justice will be pro-life, and Sen. Kennedy has been appointed to the Senate Judiciary Committee, which will play an important role in the Senate confirmation process.
January 2017 will be a month of remembrance and looking forward.
