On Saturday, September 10, at the Atlanta Athletic Club, the Georgia Life Alliance (GLA) bestowed the Federal Legislator of the Year Award upon U.S. Representative Doug Collins. Collins, first elected in 2013, has emerged as a prominent champion for life in the United States Congress. Furthermore, Representative Collins has a 100% pro-life voting record with every pro-life organization in Washington, D.C.
“We’re grateful for Rep. Collins and his strong stance on Life”, said Georgia Life Alliance Executive Director Emily Matson. “His partnership in the national pro-life strategy of defunding Planned Parenthood through the Reconciliation bill, H.R. 3762, proved again his commitment to working together to save the unborn. We look forward to our continued partnership with Rep. Collins as we work towards growing a culture of Life in Georgia.”
The Georgia Life Alliance recently held its inaugural Life at the Party Gala, an event designed to recognize the invaluable contributions of legislators, pregnancy centers, and other stakeholders in the community. The evening’s celebration was a testament to the remarkable achievements of the GLA and a heartfelt expression of gratitude to those who have extended their support to the organization, which is now the state affiliate for National Right to Life.
The event was a resounding success, with nearly 300 distinguished guests in attendance. The reception and dinner honored numerous state and federal legislators, and attendees were treated to a keynote address by Alex Kendrick of Sherwood Films.
