Announcing The National Right to Life Video Contest! Make a movie, change the world
Working with its 50 state affiliates, NRLC’s Student Film Competition is offering pro-life students the opportunity to be honored for their creative application of the pro-life message.
This contest is open to any amateur film maker/student ages 15 through 25. You do NOT need to be a film studies major to submit an entry. The film can be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes in length. Each film must affirm in some way–even indirectly– “Why laws need to protect innocent human life.”
The winning entry will be shown at NRLC 2013 in Dallas, Texas. (Please go to https://stoptheabortionagenda.com/convention/video-contest for rules.)
We are asking the state affiliates to promote and publicize the video contest. States can do one of two things:
- either refer interested students to NRLC (similar to the NRLC-sponsored Essay Contest) or,
- establish their own video contest, select a winner, and send that entry to NRLC.
NRLC will also solicit entries via email and Facebook. As noted above, the NRLC -picked winner will have his or her video shown at the 2013 National Right to Life Convention, which takes place June 27-29, in Dallas, Texas. All entries will be required to agree to the terms and conditions of the National Right to Life Video Contest.
Once again, individual entries should go to https://stoptheabortionagenda.com/convention/video-contest. There you can read the Contest details, rules, and sign up to join the Contest.
If a state affiliate is interested in establishing its own video contest, we would be happy to help.
It is easy to get started.
- Establish a handful of judges;
- Publicize the contest;
- Allow them to submit via YouTube or Vimeo, and simply send you the link;
- Have judges screen and send the winning link or video to NRLC Video contest (via email) by May 30. Send to [email protected] and the winning spot (from the fifty states) will be shown at NRLC 2013 in Dallas, Texas!
Help the youth in your state reach out to their peers and the world they are about to inherit. Help their voice be heard!
For the 2014 Contest:
The time frame for the 2014 contest will begin on September 1, 2013, with a mid-April deadline for entry to NRLC. The same rules apply and winners of the contest will be guaranteed acceptance to Life Fest Film Festival in Hollywood, California with all fees waived. The national winner will be judged and selected at Life Fest and then shown at NRLC 2014.
