Pro-life contingent of legislators in the Pennsylvania Senate remains strong

Published on

It was inevitable that the campaign in Pennsylvania would present significant challenges.

It is widely acknowledged among residents of the Keystone State that the challenge of electing a statewide candidate who is not a Democrat is significant, due to the strongholds of the Democratic Party in major cities such as Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

The Democratic Party has elected two candidates who are radically pro-abortion: John Fetterman, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, and Josh Shapiro, a candidate for Governor.

Nevertheless, there is a positive aspect to the disappointing midterm election results in the Commonwealth.

Despite the significant financial investment of millions of dollars in non-stop television and internet attack ads against pro-life candidates at the top of the ticket, a pro-life contingent of legislators in the Pennsylvania Senate has demonstrated resilience. The state Senate will serve as a safeguard against anti-life policies proposed by pro-abortion Democrats.

It is evident that the political landscape in Pennsylvania will be challenging at the state level in the year ahead, with a divided government.

Given the anticipated pro-abortion stance of the incoming Governor’s Office, pro-life advocates must adopt a more active stance than ever before.

The Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation is prepared to disseminate information and provide insight based on empirical evidence and rigorous scientific methodology. Those wishing to become involved in the cause of life in Pennsylvania are encouraged to visit our new website at www.paprolife.org.

By working in concert, we can impede the advancement of the pro-abortion agenda.
