We’ve kept close tabs on pro-abortion President Joe Biden’s popularity/job approval numbers which have been in the tank for some time. According to Gallup, the last time President Biden had the approval of a majority of Americans was in July 2021—exactly 50%. It’s never been higher than 43% since last August.
But the gap between approval and disapproval was never greater than that just recorded by CBS News: the President is (as they say) underwater by a whooping 20 points! In a survey taken between July 26 and July 28, 40% approve, 60% disapprove of the way he is handling his job.
But that gigantic difference actually understates how poorly the President is faring. Take the so-called intensity factor.
Only 16% strongly approve of the way President Biden is handing his job. Almost three times as many—43%—strongly disapprove!
With that background, it doesn’t surprise you that President Biden is doing poorly on other key metrics. For example,
The economy 34%
Inflation 30%
Immigration 37%
Jobs and employment 42%
The situation with Russia and Ukraine 40%
Finally (for now) there is the response to the opening question:
“Generally speaking, do you feel things in America today are going” and then four options.
“Very well” garnered 5%!
More to come as we dig in deeper into the latest CBS News survey.
