The following words come to mind when considering the 52nd annual National Right to Life Convention, which was held last week at the Hyatt Regency at the Pittsburgh Airport.

I had the opportunity to engage with individuals from various regions of the country who expressed astonishment at the scope of the material presented. Even those who have been engaged in the advocacy for life for an extended period expressed astonishment at the wealth of knowledge acquired during the two-day event, which was conducted in a highly concentrated manner.

One year after the Dobbs v. Jackson decision overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, it appears that the clear message is: Let us now turn our attention to the practical implications of this research.

The threat to the lives of innocent individuals is a pervasive phenomenon. Nevertheless, there are numerous individuals who are well-qualified and willing to advocate for the protection of human life.

As the host of the 2023 Convention, the Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation is prepared to assist in the noble endeavor of empowering pregnant women, individuals with disabilities, and other vulnerable populations.

Indeed, we are confronted with a culture of darkness. The convention provided attendees with the tools to navigate the complexities of the contemporary social landscape, illuminating pathways towards hope and healing.

The NRLC Convention 2023 may be a mere memory, but the insights gained will remain with us forever.
