The 445th Maryland General Assembly is underway, which means it is GO TIME for pro-life advocates to let their voices be heard! An Abortion Amendment threatens to enshrine abortion-on-demand through birth for any reason into the Maryland State Constitution. An Assisted Suicide bill has been pre-filed and threatens the lives of the most vulnerable members of our community. Want to learn all the facts about these threats to LIFE? TAKE ACTION TODAY
1)YOU are the CONSTITUENT and YOUR VOICE MATTERS. Send messages to your legislator through the TAKE ACTION tab at MDRTL.org. Then stay tuned for emailed Action Alerts to follow. As bills move through the legislative process they are heard by committee members, the House and Senate. Voting on the same bill often occurs multiple times so we have to TAKE ACTION repeatedly. Session is a marathon. Stay strong!
2) Help us to grow our team of member advocates! Share the TAKE ACTION tab with your church and contacts. We have provided a pdf flyer to share with your church or organization HERE.
3) Attend the MARYLAND MARCH FOR LIFE Monday, February 27th. The fight for LIFE is being waged in our own backyard of Annapolis. Please attend this march so that we can show Maryland legislators the strength of our movement right here in Maryland.
4) Write a letter to the editor of your local paper borrowing language from the TAKE ACTION summary and your pro-life point of view. We are here to help in any way! Email julie@mdrtl.org for assistance.
