A New Mexico town passed a local abortion ban November 7th , blocking abortionists from opening a new facility in its jurisdiction along the state border.
Hobbs, New Mexico became a target for the abortion industry following the historic Texas Heartbeat Act and the reversal of Roe v. Wade. Abortion businesses announced plans to relocate to eastern New Mexico, near Lubbock and El Paso, after Texas reinstated full protections for preborn children from elective abortion.
Hobbs City Commission approved the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance by a 7-0 vote Monday. The local policy declares abortion to be murder and prohibits abortion facilities from opening within city limits. Hobbs is the first New Mexico town to pass this life-saving measure.

Whole Woman’s Health, one of the largest abortion businesses in the nation, had planned to open up shop in this New Mexico/Texas border town. Now, this city, and preborn babies in both New Mexico and Texas, are protected via this enforceable Pro-Life measure!
Hobbs’ passage of the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance will hopefully inspire other communities in the region to do the same.
