Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever! — 1 Chronicles 16:34
We have much to be thankful for this year!
Roe v Wade is gone!! That horrendous court decision that paved the way for the death of 63 million innocent human beings is no more. Untold numbers of pro-life volunteers worked tirelessly for 50 years to make that happen. We are the blessed ones who were here to see it happen.
We have a Supreme Court that actually reads the US Constitution and interprets it as intended. We know the founders of this great nation in no way contemplated that the Constitution would be used in such a wretched manner so as to allow abortion 200 years after its enactment.
We got through two years of a rabidly pro-abortion Biden administration and Schumer-Pelosi Congress without seeing the radical changes they sought.
Because they were not able to pass the misnamed “Women’s Health Protection Act,” we do not have a national law mandating that abortion for any reason throughout pregnancy be permitted in all 50 states.
Biden and this Congress were not able to force courts, or the National Archivist, to declare that the pro-abortion Equal Rights Amendment is now a part of the US constitution. (optional)
We know the Biden administration will continue to use executive orders and administrative action to continue its assault on unborn children and their mothers, so we must always be on alert. But this year’s election returned the US House of Representatives to pro-life leaders. For at least the next two years, major efforts by the abortion industry and their allies in Congress will be dead on arrival.
More than anything, I’m thankful for the amazing grassroots people who give of their time, talent, and resources to keep this battle going. I’m not sure there is a word to describe the dedicated pro-life people who fight to save those they will never meet. Somehow, “awesome” or “outstanding” don’t seem adequate. Babies are alive and mothers are happier because of what you’ve accomplished on their behalf.
Enjoy this season of Thanksgiving with family and friends. And may God bless you for all you do on behalf of his little ones.
