National Right to Life and Ohio Right to Life PAC Endorse Mike Carey in Ohio Special Election

COLUMBUS, Ohio– Today, National Right to Life, along with Ohio Right to Life PAC, announced their joint endorsement of Mike Carey in the special election to be held on Tuesday, November 2nd for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District.

“Mike Carey is pro-life and supports legislation to protect unborn babies and their mothers from the pain of abortion. Ohioans deserve leaders who will stand up for them and their values,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “By contrast, state Representative Allison Russo supports abortion at any time, anywhere and for any reason, and she wants to use your tax dollars to pay for it.”

Mike Carey will defend the longstanding Hyde Amendment and other pro-life policies that protect Americans from having their tax dollars pay for abortions. Carey supports pro-life legislation, including current congressional proposals to protect unborn babies who are capable of feeling pain, and to prevent excruciating dismemberment abortion, as well as other proposals to protect unborn children.

By contrast, state Representative Allison Russo supports of a policy of abortion on demand, which would allow abortion for any reason. In the Ohio State House, Russo consistently voted against protective legislation for unborn children and their mothers. She also supports using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions.

“The Ohio Right to Life PAC is proud to join National Right to Life in endorsing Mike Carey for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District,” said Mike Gonidakis, president of Ohio Right to Life. “Mike has demonstrated that he will be a champion for unborn children and their mothers in Congress. Ohio needs bold pro-life leaders ready to go to bat for our values. Mike will do just that.”

Mike Carey is a husband, father of two, and a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his family.
