Have you voted? Please understand what is on the ballot today

By Dave Andrusko

I got home just in time last night to hear Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue. They are must-listen-to in any case, but no more so than the night before a genuinely historic presidential election.

He did not touch on abortion, although Tucker is passionately pro-life (see here). Instead he eloquently explained why the chattering class, almost the entire media, Hollywood, and most of academia so despises President Trump.

The President is a standing rebuke—an existential threat, as the saying goes—to all those who were astounded (and appalled) by the crowd the President attracted in Butler, Pennsylvania. It marked Trump’s third campaign stop of the day in the state and was held at the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport.

Ordinary citizens in a town that has undergone profound economic and social change came by the tens of thousands.

You could hear, “We love you, Mr. President.”

You could almost hear the teeth grinding at CNN and MSNBC.

I am old enough to remember the election of John F. Kennedy. The visceral, gut-level attachment people felt for JFK is the only comparison I can think of that begins to match the emotional hold President Trump has on his loyal supporters.

For pro-lifers, no one compares to President Trump. We have talked and written hundreds of times about his accomplishments for unborn babies—and attempts to rescue abortion survivors from passive infanticide—and for his administration’s stalwart defense of the right of conscience.

Both—the lives of unborn babies and your right as a medical professional not to be dragooned into participation in abortion and assisted suicide—are on the ballot today.

If you have not voted, please do so. Make sure your pro-life family and friends have—or will soon.
