WASHINGTON — National Right to Life, the nation’s largest pro-life group with affiliates in all 50 states and over 3,000 local chapters nationwide, has endorsed Mark Ronchetti for election to the United States Senate from New Mexico.
“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Mark Ronchetti for election to the U.S. Senate,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Mark Ronchetti supports compassionate proposals to safeguard unborn children and their mothers from the pain of abortion.”
Mark Ronchetti supports the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This legislation would protect unborn children at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods.
Mark Ronchetti supports the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This Act would require that a baby born alive during an abortion be afforded the same degree of care that would apply to any other child delivered at the same gestational age.
Mark Ronchetti opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion, and he opposes taxpayer funding of abortion providers.
In contrast, his opponent, Ben Ray Lujan, has a 100% lifetime pro-abortion voting record. Ben Ray Lujan voted against protecting babies who can feel pain, and he even voted against providing medical care to babies who survive abortion.
“Mark Ronchetti will work to see that all innocent human life is protected, and he is committed to strengthening a culture of life throughout the nation and in the U.S. Senate,” said Tobias. “We look forward to working with Mark Ronchetti to protect the most vulnerable members of the human family.”
