Editor’s note. My family and I will be on our vacation through August 27. I will occasionally add new items but for the most part we will repost “the best of the best” — the stories our readers have told us they especially liked.
Often when analyzing what pro-abortionists are saying (which we do a lot at NRL News Today), you have to be very selectively in adding hyperlinks. Once upon a time you didn’t need to be so careful.
Nowadays some of the language is, to put it mildly, salty.
I mention that because crude language times disbelief times why-won’t-they-go-away? =the narrative behind many stories.
Never is that more prevalent then when—after being assured by their media compatriots that pro-abortionists will have a field day, pro-lifers, again, win. That applies short-term (election wins) and over the long haul (the steady accumulation of protective state abortion laws).
Some anti-lifers who have been around for decades understand that pro-lifers not only will not give up but cannot give up. After all, it’s who we are.
But others newer to the battle seem angry and astonished and outraged that pro-lifers in congress and in the state legislatures continue to plow ahead.
The New York Times says in more conventional language what zany sites like Jezebel.com say in language not acceptable in polite company.
More women’s right to know laws? More legislation to ban abortions on pain-capable unborn children? More protective abortion clinic regulation? More state health department-run websites which pregnant women can access online to learn about their unborn baby’s development and resources available when they choose life? More legislation to ban sex-selection abortions?
More ultrasound laws to give women a breather before they make a life-and-death decision? More requirements that abortionists stop the dangerous practice of “webcam” abortions where they are not even in the same room as the woman ingesting powerful abortifacients? More second-chances—passage of laws requiring abortionists to tell women undergoing chemical abortions that there is a chance to save their babies should they change their minds mid-stream.
Pro-abortionists ask themselves, “Is there no end to what you guys [us] come up with?”
In a word, no.
They are many reasons pro-lifers prevail in state and congressional battles and in elections. The one irreducible requirement is you. As long as you keep the faith—which I know you will–the greatest social justice movement of our era not only goes on but grows.
One small, but important way you can help is to make sure you are forwarding stories from NRL News Today, using your social media. Also encourage your pro-life friends to sign up to receive our daily digital newspaper in their inbox.
After all, it’s who we are.
