WASHINGTON – National Right to Life has endorsed pro-life state Senator Dan Bishop in the September 10, 2019, U.S. House of Representatives special election to represent the ninth congressional district of North Carolina.
“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Dan Bishop, whose position on life reflects the values of North Carolina’s voters,” said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president.
Dan Bishop opposes abortion on demand, and he opposes using tax dollars to pay for abortion.
Dan Bishop supports the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act – legislation to protect unborn children by prohibiting abortion at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods.
In contrast, his opponent, Dan McCready, supports a policy of abortion on demand, and he supports using tax dollars to pay for abortion.
As a state Senator, Dan Bishop voted for North Carolina’s Born-Alive bill that would provide medical care to a baby who survives an abortion. Dan McCready opposes requiring care for babies who survive abortions.
“All voters who are concerned with the right to life should vote to send Dan Bishop to Congress, so that he can work to protect the most vulnerable among us,” added Tobias.
