Florida Right to Life celebrates pro-life victories, and congratulates Senator-Elect Rick Scott and Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis

Florida Senator-elect Rick Scott

Florida Right to Life, (FRTL) the state’s oldest and largest single-issue organization is beyond thrilled about Tuesday’s victories for life. Governor Rick Scott took on long time pro-abortion incumbent Senator Bill Nelson and shocked the nation with his stunning victory. Nelson is extreme in his support for radical abortion procedures and opposed the confirmation of Supreme Court justices Bret Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch. Scott is a prolife stalwart and had the full support of FRTL.

Radical pro-abortion gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum was defeated by prolife champion Congressman Ron DeSantis. DeSantis was heavily supported and endorsed by FRTL.

Lynda Bell, President of FRTL, touted the victories as a victory for the unborn, the elderly and the infirm. “FRTL worked hard towards the election of these pro-life candidates and the defeat of the pro-abortion radicals,” she told NRL News Today. “We believe the pro-life support helped push these candidates across the finish line.”

Jan Halisky, attorney and PAC chair, said,“Our victories this election cycle were profound.” While commending the hard work of the members of our organization, Halisky added, “But most of all, we must thank God for these wins. Across the nation, opinion leaders were saying that Florida’s election were the most amazing among all the states!”

We endorsed and won races in the following:

US Senate – Rick Scott
Governor – Ron DeSantis
US Congress – won 13 out of 15
FL. State Senate – won 9 out of 10
FL House – won 36 out of 41

While we are ecstatic with these victories and our success, the victory is for the unborn and the vulnerable in the United States and the state of Florida! Florida Right to Life would like to thank all of our hard-working chapters, affiliates, and pro-life volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure a victory for life.

“These wonderful pro-life Floridians gave selflessly of their time and resources to ensure the victories we saw on Tuesday,” said Bell. Many were praying for these victories for Life.

Bell concluded, ‘We thank God for these victories. Our work continues.”
