Trent Kelly will be a “strong pro-life voice in the U.S. House”
WASHINGTON – The National Right to Life Committee Friday endorsed Trent Kelly for the U.S. House of Representatives in Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District special runoff to replace the late Rep. Alan Nunnelee (R).
“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Trent Kelly in the June 2 special election,” said Carol Tobias, National Right to Life president. “Trent Kelly would be a strong pro-life voice to protect innocent human lives in the U.S. House of Representatives.”
Trent Kelly supports the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R.36), a bill to protect from abortion unborn children who are capable of feeling pain, and he opposes using taxpayer funds for abortion.
In 2010, Democrats in Congress voted to enact Obamacare, which provides government funding for health plans that pay for abortion on demand, and will result in the rationing of lifesaving medical treatments. Trent Kelly would help reverse the abortion-expanding and rationing effects of that law.
