Live Action today released the fourth “Inhuman” undercover video, this time with the infamous “late-term” abortionist LeRoy Carhart. If possible, the commentary was even more insensitive than that revealed in the undercover videos taken at the Women’s Health Center in the Bronx, New York, and the offices of Washington, DC abortionist Cesare Santangelo.

Live Action investigators twice went to Carhart at his Bellevue, Nebraska, clinic, once in December 2012, and the second time in March. One woman investigator was 22 weeks pregnant, the second 24 weeks pregnant

Carhart is shown responding to a Live Action investigator that during the lengthy abortion procedure she will be carrying a dead baby for three days.

During that time the baby “gets soft and mushy,” Carhart says. In response to a further inquiry, Carhart says in the video,” So, it’s like putting meat in a Crock-Pot, okay.” A moment later he adds this detail: like meat “in a slow cooker.”

In the videos, Carhart is also asked

“if we run into trouble … for some reason, I’m not able to deliver, you’ll be able to get it out in pieces.

“Dr. Carhart: We’d take it out…

“Woman: What do you use to break it up? Just–

“Dr. Carhart: A whole bunch of–

“Woman: You’ve got a toolkit.

“Dr. Carhart: A pickaxe, a drill bit, yeah (laughs).

Unarguably, Carhart is the most well known abortionist in the United States. In addition to his abortion business inNebraska, he also flies into Maryland to perform abortions

In February, Jennifer Morbelli, a teacher from New Rochelle, New York, died at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital after an abortion at Carhart’s Germantown Reproductive Health Services clinic in Germantown, Maryland. Morbelli was 33 weeks pregnant.

In a bizarre exchange the video shows Carhart saying (referring to his Maryland abortion clinic), “I’ve not had anyone leave there feeling worse than when they came,” only to add a second later, “We have had one woman die in the clinic, OK?,” a reference to Morbelli

According to Carhart

“She was a lot farther along than you, but the coroner, it was reported to the coroner and everything, and they said, “yeah, she died again of complications with the pregnancy, but not from the abortion.’ Everything from the abortion went fine.”

Subsequently in the video Carhart says, the woman had “some allergic reactions to the pregnancy itself.”

Back in February, Bruce Goldfarb, a spokesman for the Maryland medical examiner’s office, told reporters that initial findings listed two causes for the death of the 29-year-old Morbelli. She died when amniotic fluid seeped into her bloodstream (“amniotic fluid embolism following termination of pregnancy”) and because of “disseminated intravascular coagulation,” according to Newsday’s Ken Schachter.

Schachter explained that as “a condition that occurs when small blood clots form in the blood vessels,” adding, “Eventually, the proteins needed for clotting can become depleted, which can lead to extensive bleeding throughout the body.” A headline for the White Plains Daily Voice read, “White Plains Teacher Bled To Death After Abortion.”

The Washington Post’s story on the Live Action investigation, written by Lena H. Sun, concluded, “Experts said that by describing it as an ‘allergic reaction,’ Carhart was using layman’s terms to describe the medical complications.”

Live Action Live Action President Lila Rose also observed that “The video also exposes Carhart’s bogus claims that ‘[a]ll the late abortions Carhart has done in Germantown have involved fetuses with anomalies[.]’ He was perfectly willing to schedule a late-term abortion for a perfectly healthy pregnant woman and baby.”

In the video Carhart says that he can’t do late-term abortions in Nebraska but he can do them in Maryland. This prompted a response from Julie Schmit-Albin, Executive Director of Nebraska Right to Life.

“Carhart is one of the most notorious late-term abortionists in the country,” Schmit-Albin said. “We believe every effort should be made to ascertain that he is not violating our late term abortion ban or other laws. To our knowledge, the Nebraska Department of Health does not conduct routine checks of either Planned Parenthood of the Heartland’s abortion facilities in Omaha and Lincoln or Carhart’s facility, unless a complaint is filed.”
