National Right to Life Academy students are leaders making a difference in the pro-life movement today.
Graduates of past sessions of the National Right to Life Academy knew full well that their five weeks of rigorous academic study were worthy of college credit. But previously students had to content themselves with the personal satisfaction that, while unaccredited, their work at the Academy was as worthwhile – if not more! – as any college class. That will change this summer, as students who complete the Academy program are now eligible to receive academic credits through the Franciscan University of Steubenville Human Life Studies program.
“The Academy’s program gives college students a strong intellectual foundation in the many different aspects of the life issues: medical, scientific, ethical, legal, and historical, and helps to shape the skills that will enable them to better communicate intelligently and cogently the pro-life message,” Dr. Stephen M. Krason of Franciscan University’s Political Science Department commented. “It makes available, in a more limited way, to students around the country what we do in our academic minor program in Human Life Studies at Franciscan University of Steubenville and we are happy to be able to assist the Academy in its efforts.”
National Right to Life is grateful to Dr. Krason and the Franciscan University administration for making this opportunity possible for the upcoming class of Academy students!
There is still time to apply for the 2013 National Right to Life Academy, and scholarships are available. Interested candidates should email academy@nrlc.org or call 202-626-8822 for more information.
