South Carolina Citizens for Life held its first official Proudly Pro-Life Dinner on Friday, January 11, 2013, at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Columbia, S.C. Newly appointed U.S. Senator Tim Scott, R, S.C., made a surprise appearance and wowed the crowd with his strongly pro-life remarks.

Internationally acclaimed photojournalist Michael Clancy was the keynote speaker for the dinner and amazed the guests with his story behind the world-famous astonishing photograph of a baby’s tiny hand reaching out of his mother’s womb during prenatal surgery and touching the physician’s finger.  (For more information see here.)

On Saturday, January 12, 2013 God blessed the Stand Up for Life March and Rally with the warmest weather on record for that date.  National Right to Life President Carol Tobias was the keynote rally speaker. She told the crowd of more than 2,000 that the pro-live movement is “the movement of love.
