Reason #52 to Defeat Barack Obama: An Administration Intertwined with the Abortion Industry

The National Right to Life Victory Fund is running this series of 54 Reasons to Defeat Barack Obama as a way to commemorate the 54 million unborn children who have lost their lives to the abortion policies Obama supports.  Previous reasons in this series can be found at www.nrlvictoryfund.org

Reason #52 to Defeat Barack Obama:
An Administration Intertwined with
the Abortion Industry

Eric Holder is Barack Obama’s attorney general.  He sits in Obama’s Cabinet.  And if an article released yesterday by the journal Human Eventsis correct, Holder’s wife and sister-in-law rented space in a building they own through a family trust to an abortionist.

And not just any abortionist, but one indicted for two counts of Medicaid fraud and twice reprimanded by the Georgia medical board, according to the Human Events article.

The article, written by Troy Anderson and Will Swain of Watchdog.org, describes the Atlanta-area abortionist, Tyrone Cecil Malloy, as “notorious.”

Next to the president himself, the attorney general is the top law enforcement officer in the nation.  The abortion issue aside, the attorney general of the United States should have no association, however direct or indirect, with anyone having even the appearance of being fraudulent.  The fact that close family members, according to Fulton County (Georgia) tax records cited in the Human Events story, owned the building where Malloy ran his abortion business raises questions of propriety and judgment that Administrations normally try to avoid like the plague.

But this is only the latest example of high officials in Obama’s government tied to abortion.  His Administration has many entangling alliances with the abortion industry, and has had them right from the start.

Only two weeks after he won the 2008 presidential election, Obama named the former legal director of the abortion lobbying group NARAL Pro-Choice America, Dawn Johnsen, to the team that reviews applicants for jobs in the Justice Department.

Jobs were also found for several former officials of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business.  Planned Parenthood’s former media director, Tait Sye, was named deputy assistant secretary for public affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services, the department responsible for overseeing Obamacare.

And Obama tapped a former Planned Parenthood board member for a judgeship on a federal court of appeals, and a Planned Parenthood official to run his campaign in the battleground state of North Carolina.

But these aren’t the only pro-abortion groups to get favor in employment from the Administration.  Ellen Moran, former director of the pro-abortion political action committeeEMILY’S List, was appointed by Obama to be White House Communications Director.  And former EMILY’s List board member Melody Barnes was named to head Obama’s Domestic Policy Council.

Some of these positions are influential posts from which to advise on sensitive policy matters.  This shows once again how very important it is to elect a pro-life president if we are going to institute policies that protect the unborn.

These last five days are our chance to elect that pro-life president, Mitt Romney.  The National Right to Life Victory Fund will do everything it can between now and election day to ramp up voter contacts, to get every possible pro-life voter to the polls, and to win on Tuesday.

And I ask you to do all you can.  First, please vote.  Then make sure your family members and pro-life friends all vote as well.  If you know anyone who is not sure how they’re going to vote, please give them information from this series of 54 Reasons to Defeat Barack Obama, which you can view at www.54Reasons.com.

Finally, because we are still making critical voter contacts and will be right up until election day, please help us maximize the number of contacts we can make between now and thenby donating generously to the National Right to Life Victory Fund.  Victory is truly within our grasp, we all just need to stretch a bit more to reach it!  Please help, and thank you for all you’re doing to make this a better, safer world for the unborn babies we are all working to save!

Sincerely,

Carol Tobias,
President
National Right to Life
