ANGELA FRANKS, Ph.D., has a doctorate in systematic theology and a master’s degree in philosophy. She is the author of Margaret Sanger’s Eugenic Legacy: The Control of Female Fertility (2005). She was the coordinator of Planned Parenthood Hurts Girls, a coalition dedicated to keeping a Planned Parenthood clinic out of Morgantown, West Virginia. She served, with her husband, David, as the coordinator for the Massachusetts Catholic Conference’s marriage initiative, “The Future Depends on Love,” and hosted a show of the same name for Catholic TV. Currently she is the director of theology programs for the Theological Institute for the New Evangelization at Saint John’s Seminary. Mrs. Franks is in demand as a speaker, author, and teacher on such subjects as the history of Planned Parenthood, sexual ethics, life issues, and the theology of the body. She has been quoted in or written for many publications, such as the National Catholic Register and the Wall Street Journal, and appeared on the Glenn Beck Show and many other media outlets. She has a chapter in the upcoming book, Women, Sex, and the Church (Pauline Books and Media, forthcoming).
