Pro-life author and radio personality Laura Ingraham headlined an outstanding April 19 event to benefit the work of the Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund. The 800+ participants at the dinner/auction included Governor Scott Walker, Archbishop Jerome Listecki, and 27 members of the Wisconsin state legislature.
In her remarks, Ingraham emphasized the importance of the right-to-life cause and urged the audience to commit to their values as never before. She expressed deep gratitude to the mothers who gave the gift of life to her three adopted children.
Turning to national issues, Ingraham emphasized the familiar words in the U.S. Constitution which promise life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, noting that life is the primary right without which other rights are meaningless. Humorous and snappy, Ingraham warmed up the audience with inside stories about various Washington personalities. She also warned that the challenges facing our nation right now are the most serious in our history.
Utilizing an innovative power point presentation Wisconsin Right to Life Executive Director Barbara Lyons informed the audience of the numerous educational programs their gifts would fund. The participants took Laura Ingraham’s words to heart and opened their hearts to give generously to the work of the Wisconsin Right to Life Education Fund.
Next year’s annual dinner will feature Mike Huckabee, the pro-life former governor of Arkansas and best-selling author who hosts his own program on Fox News.
