Pro-Life Presidential Candidate Ron Paul Airs New Pro-Life Video

By Dave Andrusko

Take a moment as soon as you can and watch pro-life Republican Congressman Ron Paul’s new pro-life video.  Paul, who is running for the President, is an Ob-GYN who, as the video tells us, has delivered over 4,000 babies.

The powerful narrative builds up our culture’s schizophrenia that pro-lifers have used to educate the public: in one room doctors struggle to save a premature unborn baby, down the hall another doctor aborts a baby of the same age.

The video begins with a narrator describing Paul “as a man of faith, committed to protecting life.” And then Paul speaks for the remainder of the time:

“This whole notion of life not being valuable just is something I was never able to accept.

“I happened to have walked into an operating room where they were doing an abortion on a late pregnancy. They lifted out a small baby that was able to cry and breathe and they put it in a bucket and put it in the corner of the room, and pretended it wasn’t there.

“I walked down the hallway and a baby was born early — slightly bigger than the baby they put in the bucket-and they wanted to save this baby. So they might have had 10 doctors in there doing everything conceivable [to save the baby’s life].

“Who are we to decide that we pick and throw one away and pick up and struggle to save the other ones. Unless we resolve this, and understand that life is precious and we must protect life, we can’t protect liberty

CNN says it has been told the ad “will begin airing Friday on broadcast and cable television in Iowa, and on radio in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada, the four states that vote first in the primary and caucus calendar. The campaign says the ad buy is around a million dollars and that the spots will run for weeks.”
