The Pro-Life Week in Review

By Dave Andrusko

National Right to Life President Carol Tobias

Lots and lots of good news this week found in the many, many stories we ran in National Right to Life News Today. As always, my thanks to all of you who responded directly, or to the stories when they were subsequently posted on National Right to Life’s Facebook page.

At the top of the list of most written (and most read, I suspect) were the dozen + stories we wrote about state legislation. To list just two examples, here and here.  There will be more breakthroughs in the weeks to come.

Second place belongs to the ongoing, detailed explanation of Planned Parenthood and its abortion crusade. NRLC Director of Education Randall K. O’Bannon debunked a number of the myths PPFA peddles in an attempt to distance itself from the 332,000 annual abortions and the huge revenues that brings in to the largest abortion provider in the United States.

Pro-human cloning forces are fighting a determined effort in Minnesota to make sure they get no state money. We wrote about that multiple times, to help readers see the shameless way proponents mischaracterized the bill. (http://www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2011/04/critics-of-human-cloning-ban-are-guilty-of-the-very-mistakes-attributed-to-proponents/; http://www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2011/04/opponents-of-cloning-ban-need-a-course-in-stem-cells-101/; and http://www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2011/04/charlie-knuth-adult-stem-cell-success-story-returns-home-to-%E2%80%9Chero%E2%80%99s-welcome%E2%80%9D/).

No week would be complete without further examples of how the public rejects ObamaCare (here and here). It is an albatross around the President’s neck, as it was around many Democrats last November.

And there were many stories about accused murderer Kermit Gosnell, assisted suicide, euthanasia/assisted suicide, and medical ethics.

In addition, we wanted to alert you to sign up for the National Right to Life Convention this June . These are three days you can’t miss.

Finally, we also wanted you to “meet” our new National Right to Life President, Carol Tobias; and Carol succeeds Dr. Wanda Franz, who’s many years of service to NRLC in particular, the Movement in general, are deeply appreciated.
