The Right to Life Educational Foundation of Kentucky, Inc. sponsors an annual oratory contest that is open to high school juniors and seniors. The state winner represents Kentucky in the National Right to Life Oratory Contest. This year, Kentucky will be represented by Ray Grijalba, a talented prolife senior from South Oldham High School. Ray is the son of Adam and Laura Grijalba of Crestwood, Ky. and the second oldest of seven children.
In addition to being staunchly prolife, Ray was the captain of the school football team this year and also plays on the Lacrosse team. Ray, his father, older sister and younger brother attended the 2011 March for Life in Washington, D.C. and were encouraged to see the vast numbers of prolife young people. This fall, Ray plans to attend the University of Kentucky, where he will study to become a biomedical engineer.
We are grateful for Ray’s confidence in his prolife convictions and his desire to see others stand proudly for life at all stages.
