Sen. Franken’s resignation creates lifesaving opportunity 2018 offers unique chance to advance the cause of life

Al Franken

“ONCE IN A LIFETIME” opportunities rarely come around a second time. But MCCL has that second opportunity right now—and its potential is enormous!

The resignation of pro-abortion extremist Sen. Al Franken means that both of Minnesota’s U.S. Senate seats will be on the ballot in 2018. Pro-abortion Gov. Mark Dayton will not run again, leaving open the governorship as well. All three statewide races will be on the ballot—and we can win all three.

WE WON IN 1978

Almost the exact same situation occurred in 1978. MCCL threw its entire weight into that election and pro-life candidates won all three races: two U.S. Senate seats and the governorship. We did it in 1978, and we can do it again in 2018.

To win three statewide races is no small task, and we must leave no stone unturned. Pro-life candidates will run for all three seats and we will need to back them to the hilt.

Mailings, phone calls, emails, social media messaging, literature drops, radio ads—all of it will be essential to capturing these strategic seats. We’ve got to do it.

Imagine for a moment that we had pro-life governor: Instead of Gov. Dayton vetoing all the pro-life legislation we get to him, the governor would sign our bills into law. So many lives would be saved! Imagine that two pro-life U.S. senators replaced Minnesota’s two pro-abortion senators: the Senate could actually repeal and replace the bad elements of Obamacare, defund Planned Parenthood and confirm another pro-life justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. So many more lives would be saved!

This is a momentous opportunity for MCCL and we need your help to take full advantage of it. We will be calling upon you in the coming months, and your support will be invaluable to what we can accomplish together.

Let’s make 2018 a lifesaving year
