Sooner or later, pro-abortion President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have got to go up, right? They are abysmal, and how can he be running for a second term with only high 30s to low 40s of the population giving him a thumbs up?
Well, maybe so but in the middle of July with only 15 months to go, a new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research records Biden’s approval ratings at 41%, meaning disapproval clocks in at 58%. But….
Of those who approve of his stewardship, only 14% do strongly. By contrast a whopping 37% strongly disapprove!
What about abortion? After all, Biden have pulled every lever to ensure that the number of abortions does not diminish.
His approval rating is even lower on abortion than his overrating rating. Only 39% approve of the way Joe Biden is handling abortion while 58% disapprove.
Of course, Biden supports abortion on demand but his media protectors will never ever admit that. Every Democrat supports the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) packed as merely “codifying Roe.”
The WHPA goes way beyond the scope of Roe. It can more accurately be called “the Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act” because it would enshrine abortion on demand in federal law and policies, and it would strike down virtually all state laws on abortion, including parental involvement, waiting periods, and informed consent laws which are supported by a majority of Americans.
But writing for Newsweek, Tom Norton jumps back and forth, tossing out asides and irrelevances on his way to answering “Fact Check: Does Biden Support Abortion ‘On Demand’ Until Birth?”
In any case, the president has said he would support bans on the practice (albeit 16 years ago) and there is no evidence of a commitment on that position since, least of all to whatever an “on-demand” abortion is.
Is he expecting Biden to flat-out say, “I support abortion until the moment of birth”? Democrats are notorious slippery and—with a couple of exceptions—will do anything to avoid saying where their policy positions inevitably take them—see the aforementioned Women’s Health Protection Act.
A genuine “Fact Check” would check the statements of virtually every Democrat and would find they do support abortion on demand.
