By Addia Wuchner, Executive Director of Kentucky Right to Life
Dear ProLife Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Margie Montgomery. Co-founder of Kentucky Right to Life, Margie also served as the Executive Director of Kentucky Right to Life, The Right to Life Educational Foundation of Kentucky and Right to Life of Louisville until 2020. Margie dedicated her life to ending abortion and saving innocent lives.
In an interview announcing her retirement, Margie stated, “I am often asked what it is about me that makes it possible to come to the office today with the same determination I did January 23, 1973, the day after the nightmarish Roe v. Wade decision was handed down. The most concise answer is because the grace of God has given me the vision to see the unborn child as he or she truly is— a unique, living human being made in the image of God.”
As Kentucky’s beloved champion for the unborn and their moms, Margie inspired thousands upon thousands to join the cause for Life. The entire prolife community is extremely grateful for her unwavering passion and leadership.
Margie will forever be remembered in the highest regard. Our hearts go out to her sons Keefe and Schu, and her entire family at this time. Please join with us in keeping them in your prayers.
