LAWLESS: CBS Promotes Women Breaking Law to Access Abortion Pill

By Kevin Tober

How desperate were the cast of CBS Mornings to promote the left’s abortion-on-demand agenda? Well, the fact that they were openly promoting an abortionist in Amsterdam who openly admits to providing abortion pills to women seeking abortions in American states where it was illegal. Even openly advertising how their viewers can get illegal abortions wasn’t off-limits for the leftist media.

Correspondent Haley Ott spoke to a foreign abortionist Dr. Rebecca Gomperts whose organization “Aid Access helps Americans get abortions, even though they are thousands of miles apart.”

“In other countries, it’s not controversial and abortion is recognized as a human rights,” Gomperts bragged. Of course, Ott omitted the fact that most European countries have 12-week abortion bans which were more stringent than the 15-week bans several states had enacted.

“Experts say Aid Access is a significant provider of abortion pills for people in states with restrictive abortion laws, meaning many who seek out medication abortions in those states will be getting a prescription from a doctor in this European city,” Ott revealed before explaining how the scheme works:

Someone seeking an abortion in the US fills out an online form, which depending on what state they are in is reviewed by a healthcare professional at home or in The Netherlands. They get a prescription for abortion pills that can be filled domestically or at an Aid Access recommended pharmacy in India and the pills are mailed to them. Dr. Gomperts says demand has skyrocketed since Roe v. Wade was overturned last year.

As an additional bit of encouragement to their viewers, Ott interviewed Professor Greer Donley from the University of Pittsburgh who explained that “if the states or federal government don’t have jurisdiction to really go after those people, then just because it’s illegal doesn’t mean it’s actually going to stop.”

“So even though somebody outside the US might be breaking the law by prescribing abortion pills, there’s no way the law can reach them,” Ott exclaimed.

“Aid Access has a growing network of American clinicians, shielded by new state laws that are able to prescribe abortion pills at home,” Ott added.
