The Rhode Island House of Representatives will vote this coming Thursday, April 27, on a bill (2023 — H5006) that will allow for state taxpayer-funding for abortion-on-demand in Rhode Island, both through the state-managed Medicaid program and through state employee health benefits programs, by removing statutory prohibitions thereupon that have been in place since the seventies. Please keep in mind that these prohibitions already permit state funding for abortions performed in the so-called hard cases of rape, incest, life of mother.
Please take a moment now to email your State Representative with a brief and respectful message that you do not want your tax dollars paying for abortions. Please share this action alert widely and spread the word.
