In the heart of Amish country, Planned Parenthood is waging a relentless campaign to turn a Pennsylvania town into an abortion magnet.
The nation’s largest abortion operation has actually had its sights set on Lancaster, PA, for decades. A groundswell of opposition has kept Lancaster abortion-free for a long time, but now Planned Parenthood is closer than it has ever been to performing abortions there.
A recent Pennsylvania Bulletin revealed that the abortion giant is asking the Commonwealth to grant an exception to the time-tested provision requiring that abortion facilities have transfer agreements with local hospitals.
Unable to secure a transfer agreement on its own, Planned Parenthood sees this latest bureaucratic stunt as a way to thwart the will of the people and establish an abortion business in Lancaster.
The move clearly threatens the health and safety of central Pennsylvania women. Without a hospital transfer agreement, women who suffer abortion complications at the Lancaster Planned Parenthood will be facing serious risks of bodily injury and even death.
Planned Parenthood’s efforts to flout Pennsylvania’s ambulatory and surgical facilities law demonstrates once again how the abortion business endangers women’s health.
Members of the public have a few days to comment on the proposed exception. It is important for us to let our voices be heard for the sake of women who may not know the dangers that lie within abortion centers.
Action Item:
Please email ra-paexcept@pa.gov and let Commonwealth officials know it would be dangerous to grant an exception to Planned Parenthood and that the plan needs to be stopped for the well-being of women in Lancaster.
