Gov. Youngkin much more popular than President Biden

By Dave Andrusko

The headline to the story vastly underreports the difference: “Mason-Dixon Poll: Youngkin more popular than Biden with Virginia voters.” Let’s see how much.

As so often is the case, the approval ratings of the pro-abortion President are “under water.” Pat Thomas writes, “Statewide 45% approve of Biden’s performance, while 52% disapprove and 3% are unsure.” Pro-life Gov. Glenn Youngkin, by contrast, has an approval rating of 56% but a disapproval figure of only 31% (13% are unsure).

What about whether the country/state is heading in the right direction, a pivotal question?  Thomas writes

A strong majority (59%) feel things in the country are on the “wrong track” and only 29% say they are in the “right track”. However, a plurality (47%) believes Virginia is on the “right track” and only 40% maintain they are on the ‘wrong track’.”

A new Christopher Newport University poll backed up the results of the Mason-Dixon survey. The poll, which just came out, found “that Virginia is headed in the right direction, by a 45% to 37% margin, and kept his approval rating at 50%,” according to Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner.
