We are so excited for our 2023 Proudly Pro-Life Gala a week from Saturday featuring two-time national champion, first-round NFL draft pick, and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow!
Tim’s pro-life commitment stems from his own story of his mother, Pam Tebow, rejecting abortion even though her life was in danger. During Pam’s pregnancy with Tim, she became sick with amoebic dysentery from drinking contaminated water while serving as a missionary in the Philippines. She went into a coma and started medication to treat her infection. The medication caused placental abruption, endangering her life.
In 2019, his mother Pam Tebow shared with many media outlets about her difficult pregnancy with Tim. Pam said:
“[My doctor] said that I needed to have an abortion. She said that I needed to abort quickly and my life was in danger. I would die and he wasn’t really a baby he was a mass of fetal tissue.”
However, she resisted abortion. She says her faith in God helped her choose life.
Can you imagine if she had moved forward with the abortion? Our world would be without an amazing college football player and Christian who has made a difference in the lives of many. Praise God for her courage!
Women in difficult pregnancies face real challenges. We have certainly heard a lot about that lately since Roe v. Wade was overturned. But Pam and Tim’s story reminds us that while life offers no guarantees, abortion offers no chances.
We can’t wait for you to join us to hear Tim’s story in person! If you haven’t registered yet, there are still seats available.
