Well, if you think about it, I suppose invoking the Declaration of Independence on behalf of killing unborn children does present a problem. But not to pro-abortion Vice President Kamala Harris. She simply edited that part about “life” out of her speech delivered Sunday in Florida.
The actual wording is, of course, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
An accidental omission? No. Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy tweeted a picture of the text of her speech: “Here is Vice President Kamala Harris omitting the inalienable right to life when referencing the Declaration of Independence in defense of Roe v. Wade” [https://twitter.com/JerryDunleavy/status/1617491864436834305].
Harris said [to applause], “A promise we made in the Declaration of Independence that we are each endowed with the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” Notice she also omitted the “Creator.”
