On the 50th anniversary of Roe, pro-abortion Biden administration appears to be planning a low-key commemoration

On the 50th anniversary of the now thankfully overturned Roe v. Wade decision, Chris Megerian of the Associated Press reports that “Harris to Push Abortion Fight in Florida on Roe Anniversary” and that “President Joe Biden will mark the anniversary with a proclamation, according to administration officials.”

Interesting. For starters, why Florida? Why is Vice President Kamala Harris headed there to “commemorate” the anniversary of Roe?

Well, according to Megerian, “Administration officials said she’ll speak in Florida, where Democrats have been on guard for new efforts to restrict abortion from Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, a potential 2024 presidential candidate. The speech is a continuation of Harris’ focus on reproductive rights in recent months, including meetings with activists, healthcare providers and state lawmakers from around the country.”

What else? Well, President Biden seems determine to run for a second term. Florida is a key state and Governor DeSantis, not only wracked up a distinctly pro-life first term, but he also annihilated Democrat Charlie Crist 57% to 42% to win a second term.

No doubt the “proclamation” will combine sorrow over the demise of Roe and reassurances that the Biden/Harris administration will (as it promised it would in last year’s proclamation) work hard to defend “this constitutional right” which is “essential to our health, safety, and progress as a nation.”

Guess what? Pro-lifers cannot be outworked.
