I was reminded recently of the generational impact pregnancy care centers have in America.
The reminder came by way of a Christmas card from Morning Star Pregnancy Services in Pennsylvania. The card heralded “50 years of babies born, of lives transformed, of miracles & blessings.”
Inside, the card told the story of a woman referred to as “Michelle.” More than 25 years ago, Michelle was involved in an abusive relationship and faced an unexpected pregnancy. Morning Star provided her with information and support and the help she needed to redirect the course of her life. Thanks to Morning Star, she also received prenatal care, baby clothing, and various supplies for her baby.
As the greeting card noted, “Michelle reached out to Morning Star recently and said her son now has a family of his own. She expressed her delight in watching him be a wonderful father to her grandchildren.”
When Morning Star entered her life, not only was Michelle’s son saved—but an entire family was preserved from harm. There are grandchildren alive today who might not have been, had it not been for the caring people at Morning Star.
This Christmastime, let us offer a special thank you to all those pregnancy resource centers around the country that are transforming lives every day. They are the generation-savers, and they deserve our praise and on-going support.
