The Supreme Court, in its wisdom, has ruled that a right to kill preborn babies is NOT in the US Constitution and has returned the decision-making ability back to elected representatives of the people.
We’ll rejoice! We’ll celebrate! Then we’ll get back to work.
And we will remember June 24, 2022, as the day a grievous wrong was righted.
During World War II, after the tide seemed to have turned for the better, Winston Churchill famously stated, “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
For almost 50 years, the courts have tied our hands, limiting our ability to protect unborn children. We have been fighting for these little ones in many ways but states will now be able to provide far greater protections.
Some of you live in states that refuse to protect unborn children at any point during pregnancy, and even use tax dollars to pay for the evil deed– don’t be disheartened and don’t give up. Mothers and their unborn children need you to continue to be a voice for Life.
With continued persistence and determination, we will, one day soon, paraphrase Winston Churchill and say, “This is the beginning of the end.” Or better yet, “This is the end and the babies are safe!”
During this long struggle, every one of you has been a light shining in the darkness. I thank God for each of you and look forward to the coming years as we continue to build a culture that respects the value and dignity of human life.
