The National Right to Life Committee has announced its endorsement of former Attorney General Adam Laxalt for the United States Senate in Nevada.
“National Right to Life has expressed its support for Adam Laxalt’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate.” Carol Tobias, the organization’s president, made this announcement. “Throughout his career, Adam Laxalt has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the protection of vulnerable members of the human family.”
Adam Laxalt advocates for the protection of unborn babies and their mothers from the outset of pregnancy. He is opposed to the use of tax revenues to fund abortions and to the provision of public funding to abortion providers.
Adam Laxalt endorses the long-standing Hyde Amendment, which prohibits the utilisation of federal tax revenue for abortions in numerous federal programmes. The Hyde Amendment has been estimated to have saved approximately 2.5 million lives since its enactment in 1976.
Adam Laxalt is opposed to the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act, which should more accurately be designated the ‘Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act’. This is because the Act would enshrine abortion in federal law and policies, and would thereby undermine protective laws on the state level, including parental involvement and informed consent laws. In contrast, Catherine Cortez Masto co-sponsored and voted in favour of this radical pro-abortion bill.
Additionally, Adam Laxalt has received the endorsement of Nevada Right to Life, the state affiliate of National Right to Life. “Adam Laxalt is aware that the most valuable resource of the United States is its population, and that their lives, from the moment of conception until natural death, must be safeguarded,” stated Melissa Clement, the executive director of Nevada Right to Life.
His general election opponent, Senator Cortez Masto, advocates for the legalisation of abortion on demand, regardless of the circumstances. Additionally, Senator Cortez Masto advocates for the use of taxpayer funds to finance abortions.
“Nevada deserves a pro-life senator like Adam Laxalt who is committed to building a culture of life,” Tobias added. “Laxalt’s pro-life record stands in stark contrast to the out-of-touch record of Cortez Masto, who supports abortion for any reason up until birth.”
