Thousands expected to participate Saturday in MCCL March for Life at Minnesota State Capitol

ST. PAUL — Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) will hold the 2022 MCCL March for Life at the State Capitol Mall beginning at noon on Saturday, Jan. 22. A brief program will follow at 12:30 on the Capitol steps. The purpose of the MCCL March for Life is to commemorate the lives lost to abortion in the United States and to call for protection and support for unborn children and their mothers.

State Senator Julia Coleman and Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach are among those scheduled to speak during the program. Other state lawmakers are expected to attend and will be introduced to the crowd. Media kits will be available; a press release will be issued shortly afterward.

Jan. 22 marks the 49th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions, which made abortion legal for any reason nationwide. The Supreme Court will rule later this year in a case challenging Roe, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
