In a tweet sent out yesterday, Vice President Kamala Harris weighed in on the Texas Heartbeat Law which the Supreme Court heard last week

Let me be clear: We will continue to fight for the constitutional right of all women to make decisions about their own bodies.
You notice that abortion is not mentioned. Instead it wrapped in gauzy language about “the constitutional right of all women to make decisions about their own bodies.”
50 years ago…40 years ago…even 20 years ago that might have been enough (for some people): “their own bodies.” But with unborn babies making millions of appearances in ultrasounds and television ads, it’s not the conversation-stopper it once was. Rather it invites us to ask whether the fate of this fully human being should be unilaterally decided by his or her mother.
The humanity of the unborn child is beyond debate, as is it separate existence and separate need for protection. “Yet, the pro-abortion movement—like a modern-day flat earth society—continues to cling to outdated indefensible arguments cloaked in euphemism,” in the words of Rep. Chris Smith.
Maybe they should follow the science.
