West Virginians for Life (WVFL) invites all to gather in the Trinity Assembly of God fellowship hall at 70 Maranatha Drive, Fairmont, WV, on Saturday, October 9, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for the Annual West Virginians for Life Convention where the theme will be All LIFE Matters. Doors will open at 9:00.
Down syndrome “Dadvocate” Kurt Kondrich will be the keynote speaker along with his daughter Chloe. Their mantra is “Embrace Don’t Erase Down syndrome.”
In addition, presenters include WVFL President Dr. Wanda Franz, addressing the research regarding doctors pushing women with fetal disability diagnoses to abort. In addition National Right to Life Political Director Karen Cross will discuss “The Battle Continues” in relation to the 2022 election. Amanda Cunningham of Glory Days Company will give practical advice regarding resources for parents of special needs children. Mary Tillman, J.D., with the West Virginia Alliance for Ethical Health Care, will speak about Health Care Decisions Amendments proposed during the 2022 legislature.
During the noon luncheon, the crowd will be addressed by First District Congressman David McKinley and State Treasurer Riley Moore, while other elected officials will be introduced. Lunch is included in the $35 cost.
The Teen Day Camp is an added feature. Catering to teens, the day camp will provide time for games in addition to learning. Prices have been reduced for teens and college students. It is now $15 for both ($10 each if in a group of 10 or more). Childcare is also available, provided requests are known in advance.
Attendees will be treated to short but information-packed presentations with music and pro-life video clips interspersed. Random prize giveaways are also a fun part of the conference.
